More Than a Job
At Fire Mountain Solar, renewable energy is more than a business; it's a way of life. In our personal as well as work lives, we are dedicated to reducing our impact on the earth and the consumption of its resources. Since 1996 we have been living the talk. Our home is built of modified post and beam strawbale construction. We collect our roof water into FDA approved potable water storage tanks. We live and work off the grid, using 1885 watts of solar panels and a 400-watt home wind generator.
Included in our mission is education. We offer classes and workshops in our area in conjunction with Washington State University's Mount Vernon Learning Center, local colleges, and public and private schools. We believe that by helping expand awareness and understanding of renewable energy, we can encourage people to include non-polluting sources of power in their personal lives and in their communities.
This Is Only The Beginning
Since we began our dream by bringing solar power systems to our off the grid neighborhood where multiple families had been living for years with only home back up generators and deep cycle batteries, we have helped hundreds of customers achieve a significant measure of independence from traditional power sources.
