SHURflo 2088 Series diaphragm pumps deliver reliable performance in high flow (up to 3.6 gallons per minute), moderate pressure applications. The Shurflo 2088 & 8000 series delivery pumps are good for medium to light duty use, and under normal conditions can be expected to last from 5 to 10 years before any maintenance is required (rebuild and parts kits are available).

Shurflo designed this pump for marine use, to supply household pressure on large boats. These pumps are intended for use with fresh clean water only, and are not suitable for use with other liquids, such as gasoline, pest sprayers, salt water, or chemicals.  Use in remote homes and cabins, RV’s and trailers, and marine applications.

These Shurflow pumps are not designed for continuous heavy duty use.  If you need a heavy duty and/or positive displacement pump, we recommend the Dankoff Slowpump (formerly Conergy).  They cost a bit more, but will last for years if properly installed.

While not as heavy duty as the Dankoff Flowlight, the Shurflo 2088 is a quality alternative. Shurflo pumps provide as much as 3.6 gallons per minute, and can run dry without harm. They shut off automatically when pressure reaches 45 psi and turns back on again at 25 psi. The pressure switch can be adjusted to turn off from 30-50 psi. These pumps are self priming to 9 feet. Home pressurization installation requires a precharged pressure tank.

The 2088 comes in 12 and 24 volt DC models as well as 115 volt AC. For general purpose pumping applications, the 2088 can lift water over 100 feet. Dimensions are 10″ x 5″ x 4.5″. The 12 and 24 models each come with two versions, deluxe and premium, while the 115 volt AC model comes in deluxe only.

For added reliability the Heavy Duty Strainer (#252-3300) or the Twist-on Strainer (#170-061-09) can be used on the inlet port. Install the optional 4″ heat sink (#34-007) for heavy duty applications where extra cooling is required.

Deluxe Models

The 12 volt deluxe model will provide up to 3.5 gallons per minute (gpm) and draws between 5 and 10 amps. Flow at 40 psi is about 2.2 gpm at 9.1 amps. The 24 volt deluxe model will provide up to 3 gpm and draws about 2.5 amps. Flow at 40 psi is about 1.25 gpm at 2.7 amps. The 115 volt AC model will provide up to 3.3 gallons per minute (gpm) and draws between .5 and 1.0 amps. Flow at 40 psi is about 1.85 gpm at .85 amps. It can run on a 200 watt or larger inverter, and can be up to 1000 feet from the power source, using #12 wire.

Premium Models

The 12 volt premium model will provide up to 3.3 gpm and draws between 4.5 to 9 amps. This pump features a completely sealed motor and provides a heat sink for cooler operation. the 24 volt premium model also has a completely sealed motor. It provides up to 3.2 gpm and draws between 4.5 to 9.5 amps. Flow at 40 psi is about 2.4 gpm at 2.4 to 4.5 amps.
